Tourist/ Visitor
Each person applying must have a valid passport. A completed and signed application is required. A separate form is required for accompanying family members over 18 years of age, except for spouses. Applications should be accompanied by: 3 recent passport-size photographs with white background , confirmed return/onward air ticket if available, a letter of invitation from relatives/ friends in Canada, proof of your sponsor’s immigration status and income, leave letter from your employer, proof of sufficient funds (in form of a bank statement, pay slips, proof of employment and the photocopy of credit card to cover the period of stay in Canada. Failure to provide sufficient documentation may result in refusal or delays in processing. |
Business Visa.
In addition to the above, business travelers should be in possession of a letter of reference from the Indian firm being represented and a letter of invitation from Business associates in Canada.
Transit Visas
A transit visa is required for travel through Canada to another country, by nationals of countries who require a visitor visa, and who will be in Canada for less than 48 hours. To obtain a transit visa you must provide specific evidence of your travel arrangements from your transportation company or travel agent. You will be asked to show your travel ticket as evidence of travel arrangements to obtain a transit visa. There is no charge for processing a transit visa.
